Seven people. Four languages. One office.

You will not be handed to an account manager who then forwards your question to someone else. These are the people who do the work.

Cesar Toro

Our founding member, Cesar Toro, combines over 30 years of experience in accounting, auditing and taxation. A graduate of Florida International University with a Bachelor’s in Accounting, Mr. Toro is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. In addition to his accounting career, Cesar was previously a professional violinist and a former ARMY officer.

Mr. Toro started his career in the Miami office of Deloitte where he spent two years as staff auditor working in various industries including banking, real estate and non-profits. He later moved to Puerto Rico where he spent four years at the San Juan office of KPMG. While at KPMG, Mr. Toro worked in various industries including banking, manufacturing and governmental.

After working with two of the “Big Four” public accounting firms, Mr. Toro gained experience in internal auditing as the Internal Audit Manager for the San Juan subsidiary of Scotiabank, and later as Internal Audit Manager for the Americas for Imerys, a French mining conglomerate. His work there included operational and financial evaluation of the company’s domestic and international operations, evaluating acquisition targets, and supervising the sale and closure of companies.

Mr. Toro subsequently served two years as Financial Director and Controller of one of Imerys’ mining operations in Brazil, with sales exceeding $100 million. As a result, he possesses extensive experience evaluating, recommending and implementing internal controls over financial reporting.

In his spare time, Cesar and Margarita enjoy playing tennis, golfing, boating, and traveling.

Partner (Business Development)

Alejandro Toro

Alejandro Toro is a Partner at Toro CPA & Associates, where he has spent his entire professional career helping build the firm into the accounting-led advisory practice it is today. Over six years across accounting, tax, and advisory, he has come to specialize in designing the infrastructure that businesses run on — chart of accounts, workflows, and reporting systems — and in advising owners holistically across accounting, tax, and finance rather than treating them as separate silos.

An Enrolled Agent and Certified Tax Resolution Specialist, Alejandro is currently pursuing his CPA license and a Master’s in Accounting. His path into the profession was an unusual one: he holds a Bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering, and he brings that same systems-minded, first-principles approach to the way he builds accounting operations — treating a client’s financial infrastructure the way an engineer treats a design, built to be precise, scalable, and dependable.

Bilingual in English and Spanish, Alejandro works closely with business owners across a range of industries, from grocery and manufacturing to professional services, real estate, and entertainment.

Outside of work, he’s a lifelong video game and technology enthusiast, and spends his free time with family. Fun fact: he started out designing things meant to fly — and now spends his days keeping businesses’ finances firmly on the ground.
