Privacy Policy
Draft pending legal review. This document describes how the site actually operates, but it has not yet been reviewed by the firm's attorney and should not be treated as final.
This policy covers torocpa.com — the public website. It does not cover the client portal or the professional engagements themselves, which are governed by your engagement letter and by the confidentiality obligations that apply to us as accountants.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form. That means the contact form and the referral form, which ask for things like your name, email address, phone number, business name and whatever you write in the message field.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers or financial documents through this website, and you should not send them here. If we need those, we will set up a secure channel.
What we do with it
We use it to reply to you, and to keep a record of the conversation. Form submissions are delivered to the firm's customer relationship system so that enquiries do not get lost in an inbox.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with anyone except the service providers that help us operate — website hosting, and the system that receives form submissions — and those providers act on our instructions.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party tracking or analytics scripts. Fonts, images and video are served from our own domain rather than a content delivery network, so loading a page does not report your visit to anyone else.
If analytics are added later, this section will be updated before they go live.
Links to other sites
Some pages link out — to the IRS, to state revenue departments, and to the client portal. Once you follow one of those links you are on someone else's site under their policy, not ours.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are retained for as long as we may reasonably need them for the relationship, and longer where professional or legal record-keeping obligations require it. If you would like your enquiry deleted, ask and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. EmailInfo@ToroCPA.com and we will respond.
Children
This site is intended for business and personal tax clients and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
